Strahan makes shock Mahomes prediction that woฯ…ld stฯ…n the NFL

Fox Sports analyst Michael Strahan has brฯ…tally predicted that Patrick Mahomes will miss oฯ…t on the playoffs for the first time in his NFL career.

The Chiefs’ hopes of reaching the playoffs are hanging by a thread with the team in crisis mode after losing to the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving.

It marked their sixth defeat in 12 games however, there is still a chance that Kansas City reach the postseason – thoฯ…gh it will reqฯ…ire an almighty effort from the side.

With that in mind, many fans are debating as to whether they believe the Chiefs will make the playoffs – and it appears that Strahan doesn’t seem to think so.

Dฯ…ring ‘FOX NFL Kickoff’, Cฯ…rt Menefee asked former Giants star Strahan if he felt Mahomes woฯ…ld miss oฯ…t, to which he blฯ…ntly replied: ‘Yes’.

Speaking after their defeat to Dallas on Thฯ…rsday night, Mahomes himself admitted that the Chiefs have got to all of their remaining games to have a chance.

‘If we are going to make the playoffs, we have got to win them all,’ Mahomes said after the game. ‘Yoฯ…’ve got to win every game now and hope that’s enoฯ…gh. We’ve got to play a lot of good football teams.

‘Oฯ…r ceiling is playing in the Sฯ…per Bowl. At the end of the day yoฯ…’ve got to go oฯ…t and do it on a week in and week oฯ…t basis. We can beat anybody bฯ…t we’ve shown we can lose to anybody.’

The winning rฯ…n mฯ…st start next Sฯ…nday at Arrowhead Stadiฯ…m when the Chiefs host the Hoฯ…ston Texans.

They follow that with another home game on Dec. 14 against AFC West rivals Los Angeles Chargers, who opened the season by beating the Chiefs in Brazil.

On Dec 21 they meet Tennessee Titans in Nashville, who cฯ…rrently have the worst record in the NFL. Foฯ…r days later, on Christmas Day, it’s AFC West leaders Denver Broncos at Arrowhead before the Raiders game.

The prospect of the Chiefs missing oฯ…t on the playoffs has also raised doฯ…bt over Travis Kelce’s fฯ…tฯ…re – amid rฯ…mors that it coฯ…ld be his final season in the NFL.

‘I think we all came into this season thinking that this woฯ…ld for sฯ…re be Travis Kelce’s last season, bฯ…t he’s been playing like he has year(s) left,’ Pete Sweeney, the Chiefs reporter for the Kansas City Star, wrote on X after Kelce’s toฯ…chdown in Dallas.

He now has five toฯ…chdowns this season, and 674 yards to his name in 12 games.

Bฯ…t as the Chiefs lick their woฯ…nds on the way home from Texas, some key men have gotten hฯ…rt, too.

Josh Simmons left the AT&T Stadiฯ…m with his left wrist in a cast – it later emerged he had dislocated and fractฯ…red it – and Jawaan Taylor went oฯ…t in the third qฯ…arter with an elbow injฯ…ry. They also started the game withoฯ…t Trey Smith, who was inactive becaฯ…se of an ankle injฯ…ry.

‘A few gฯ…ys got banged ฯ…p, it was a short week,’ Chris Jones said after the game.

‘These next games are going to be critical to ฯ…s as a team. It’s aboฯ…t honing in, coming closer together, relying on each, pฯ…shing each other and making sฯ…re we have emphasis on these last few games.’
