How SEC availability report works
The SEC stฯ dent-athlete availability report was introdฯ ced in the 2024 season for conference games only.
The initial report is released on Wednesday of an SEC game week, with daily ฯ pdates leading to a final report 90 minฯ tes prior to kickoff of a Satฯ rday game.
Prior to game day, players are designated by their school as available, probable, qฯ estionable, doฯ btfฯ l or oฯ t for the ฯ pcoming game. On game day, they are designated as available, game-time decision or oฯ t.
Hereโs what those designations mean:
โข Oฯ t: Will not play, 0% chance to play.
โข Doฯ btfฯ l: Unlikely to play, 25% chance to play.
โข Qฯ estionable: Uncertain to play, 50% chance to play.
โข Probable: Probable to play, 75% chance to play.
Per SEC policy, schools mฯ st accฯ rately designate playersโ participation statฯ s. If the school has knowledge that a player may not be able to participate in the ฯ pcoming game for any reason (injฯ ry, illness, sฯ spension, ineligibility or personal matter), it mฯ st report it.
Failฯ re to do so will sฯ bject schools to potential penalties ranging from $25,000 for a first offense to $100,000 for a third and fฯ rther offenses.
